Dear Sister
I got home last night
via New York Worcester & Concord.
I left Petersburg a week last Sunday got
to Washington the next Tuesday. Left
Washington last Sunday eve got to Concord
night before last. I did not write to either
you or Mother from Washington because I
thought to start from there Friday & get home
Saturday. But could not get ready in season.
I found all well at home & glad to see me
of course. It takes but 30 min of [----?] time
& I have yet to double [---?] to the P.O.
Mother says you must come up when you best
can but I say come right away.
I must close. Tell Doctor to come up now
take up Freddy & Ella.
