About Matthew Harvey Watson

Matthew Harvey Watson (2 June 1891 Sutton NH - 7 March 1970 Taftsville VT) was the son of James Harvey Watson (1847-1899) and Emma Wheeler (1857-1942). He married Addie Mae Rogers (ca. 1897 Vermont - ?) in 1915; they had two children.

About the Diaries

The two volumes of Watson's diary cover the years 1922-1925 when the family was living in Plainfield, VT. Entries are made nearly every day and include chores, farming activites, equipment, trips to Lebanon NH, family life, grange meetings, butchering of animals, seasonal labors, and sales of farm products (including to the "Butler Home for the Aged").
