Five Library Resources to Start Your Semester Right
Welcome back, Wildcats! As the 2025-2026 school year gets underway, here are some of the many resources offered by the UNH Library to help you succeed.

Librarian Assistance
Did you know that our librarians are experts in fields from research data to genealogy to health and human services? And that they’re available to help you find and cite sources, refine your research topic and search library databases? You can always ask a librarian to point you in the right direction as you work on a paper or project, and you can make an appointment with a librarian for a particular class or major.
Interlibrary Loan and Scanning
Need a book, article, DVD or music score that’s not in our collection or currently unavailable? Interlibrary Loan (ILL) can request a variety of materials from thousands of libraries across the country. To request an item, log into ILLiad through our website. An ILLiad account has already been created for you—just fill in your user information the first time you access it.
ILL also offers Document Delivery services, which allows you to request scanned copies of articles and book chapters that the UNH Library owns in print.
Spaces to Study and Collaborate
The library offers a variety of spaces for students to study, including quiet (and stunningly beautiful!) reading rooms on Levels 3 and 5 of Dimond Library. We also have smaller collaboration rooms, which students can reserve for working on group projects or doing schoolwork together. If unoccupied, these collaboration spaces are free to use, but we recommend making a reservation to guarantee your spot.
New York Times Access
Did you know can get online access to the New York Times through the UNH library? The library's online access includes breaking news, archives, games, recipes, podcasts, newsletters, multimedia, Spanish and Mandarin Chinese versions of NYTimes.com, and more.
Library of Things
The Information Desk offers a whole host of equipment that can be checked out! Our Library of Things includes everything from cameras, microphones and tripods to phone chargers, headphones, SAD lamps, umbrellas and a bicycle pump. We’ve even got portable cassette and CD players, for the most retro among us.
Plus bonus resources!
While not part of the library organization, these partners are located inside Dimond Library and can be indispensable as you settle into life at UNH.
Writing Center
Located on Level 3 of Dimond Library, the Connors Writing Center offers one-on-one conferences to help students with any kind of writing project.
IT Support
Also located on Level 3 of Dimond Library, the Information Technology Help Desk is here to answer all your tech questions. You can get help using UNH software or accessing the printers, and you can even borrow a laptop (after putting in a request with the Dean’s Office) for the semester.
Zeke’s Café
Coffee! Need we say more? Located on Level 4 and operated by UNH Dining, Zeke’s offers coffee, tea, bagels and pastries to fuel your studying.
Parker Media Lab
Located on Level 2 of Dimond Library, the Parker Media Lab contains a variety of equipment such as a green screen, a sound booth, microphones and filming space, making it perfect for just about any multimedia project. The lab can be reserved like any other study space and is a great resource for students working on video shoots, music recordings or podcasts.
