SHARPP Center History Displayed in Dimond

Through March 31, visitors to the University of New Hampshire Library can view materials related to the 40-year history of The SHARPP Center, an organization dedicated to interpersonal violence awareness, prevention, and advocacy on the UNH campus.

The SHARPP Center is one of the oldest such organizations in the country, and the exhibit includes newspaper articles, quotes, and photographs dating back to the 1970s, highlighting those whose commitment laid the foundation of SHARPP as it exists today. Visitors can also view a quilt made as part of the Clothesline Project, and patrons can check out books and other library materials related to the prevention of sexual violence and domestic abuse.

This is the second time SHARPP has exhibited historic materials at Dimond Library; an earlier exhibit was curated by Sriyam Riyal ’24, who conducted much of the archival research to locate and organize the materials. The current exhibit is located in the Milne Room on Level Three of Dimond.

All UNH Library exhibits are free and open to the public during regular library hours
