Manchester and Durham Libraries Integrate Services

The University of New Hampshire libraries at Manchester and Durham have a long history of collaboration, shared access, and mutual support. This partnership has been strengthened over the last year, as library faculty and staff have been working to integrate library services and resources between the two campuses. The goal of the integration is to have one UNH Library that serves the needs of all UNH students, faculty, and staff, regardless of their campus or college.

This integration will result in clearer, more accessible, and more streamlined service for library patrons. One of the impacts of the integration is shared online collections and services, including the library website: Manchester and Durham now share one website at library.unh.edu. The physical collections and in-person services on both campuses remain the same.

The UNH Library—consisting of Dimond, Kingsbury, and Manchester branches, as well as a comprehensive online presence accessible around the world—remains committed in its mission to support the University’s charter as New Hampshire’s land, sea, and space grant institution. As the intellectual common ground, the library offers services in information and data literacy, discovery of and access to information resources and knowledge, and vibrant community spaces to support the public good.
