Letter written by Alice Dalgliesh from Salt Box, Brookfield, CT on July 8, 1952 to Thelma Brackett, U.N.H. Librarian. In the letter, Dalgliesh thanks Brackett for her kind words regarding the book The Bears of Hemlock Mountain. She also discusses The Defenders, a book by Nicholas Kalashnikoff, the illustrators Claire and George Louden, and the production of a young people’s edition of Alan Paton’s Cry, the Beloved Country.
