About Connections
The President's Commission on the Status of Women was formed in 1972. The commission is made up of ten University women representing faculty, PAT's (professional, administrative, technical staff), operating staff, graduate and undergraduate students. In 1979, the Women's Commission began producing a quarterly newsletter concerning women's issues at the University of New Hampshire. In May 2004, Connections expanded to become the voice of the President's Commissions on the Status of Women, the Status of People of Color, and the Status of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Issues.
There is also one folder of "Quick Connections" which was created in 1988 as a monthly supplement to the quarterly publication. It's purpose was to provide a timely bulletin of news items and events of interest to UNH women.
