About Fanny Richardson
Frances "Fanny" Maria Richardson was born in June 1844 in Greenfield, NH, daughter of Coloniel Cyrus Richardson and Celia Dresser. She married George Eli Hunt on 24 November 1868 in Greenfield, and moved to Dublin and Peterborough after that. The couple three sons and two daughters, of whom four survived to adulthood. Fanny died November 4, 1868 at Greefield.
About the Fanny Richardson Autograph Book
Fanny's 3"x5" autograph book is filled with poetry, calligraphy, lockes of hair, and dried flowers from her friends, relatives, teachers, and other admirers. She began the book when she was 12, penning a stunning calligraphy title page with her name and the town. She collected signatures from Greenfield, Concord, and Mason Village. Several lockes of hair have disintegrated, and some pages are missing. A poem which which was folded inside the book is included, along with a fragment of a letter on parchment.
