About the New England Brick Yards Co. (established 1897)

The New England Brick Company was founded in 1897, becoming the New England Brick Yards Co. 1929 and locating its headquarters at 185 Devonshire St., Boston Mass. The brickyard at Gonic NH was operational by 1925 and closed in 1950. The Gonic Brickyard was located on Pickering Road.

About the New England Brick Yards Co. Photographs (1925)

This collection consists of 22 copy negatives with accompanying prints, taken from the original glass negatives. The photos depict surrounding buildings, brickworks, all stages of brick making and kiln building, horses, men working. The Maine Central Railroad and the Boston & Maine Railroad are pictured. There is a glass negative sleeve included which is marked "Taken at Gonic on June 9, 1925 around 10 o’clock."
