About the New Hampshire Constitution Sesquicentennial Commission
In 1938 the state of New Hampshire celebrated the 150th anniversary of the ratification of the Constitution of the United States. The sesquicentennial festivities included an educational program, which included an oratorical contest for college-level students and an examination on the Constitution for high school and elementary school students. In June the Sesquicentennial Commission staged a pageant and other events to commemorate ratification of the U.S. Constitution by New Hampshire.
