About the Robert Frost Letter and Poem
Two-page letter and accompanying poem, “Forest Flowers,” from Robert Frost to Miss Myrtle Raitt at Pinkerton Academy in Derry, New Hampshire, where Frost had previously taught. She had requested a poem for publication. “I hope I am in time with what you want and I hope it is what you want,” he writes. There is also a fourteen-page typed transcription of an untitled essay about Frost written by Miss Raitt, in which she quotes the poem and the contents of the letter in full.
