About the Tuesday Afternoon Club of Durham

The Tuesday Afternoon Club is a women's club in Durham, New Hampshire. Founded in 1894, its mission is "to promote the mutual improvement and social enjoyment of its members". Mrs. Charles Pettee and Mrs. Scott started the Club in 1894. The club continues to be a literary and charitable society that meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month of the academic year.

The collection consists of history, minutes, financial records, lists of officers, photographs, correspondence, constitutions, and activity programs dated 1894-2019.
