About the University of New Hampshire at Manchester
In 1985, Gov. John Sununu signed into law a bill making the Merrimack Valley College the sixth college of the University of New Hampshire. The University of New Hampshire at Manchester (UNHM) provides access to UNH associate, bachelor and graduate degree programs for people who live and work in central New Hampshire. UNH Manchester has the same admission, general education and graduation requirements as the main, residential campus in Durham. Innovative, interdisciplinary and practical liberal arts and applied programs reflect the college's urban mission and proactive response to the needs of area business and industry. The campus includes the main building, University Center, at 400 Commercial Street and the fourth floor at 286 Commercial Street in Manchester's historic mill yard.
About the University of New Hampshire at Manchester Governance Structures and Committees Files
This collection contains the agendas, minutes, reports and by-laws of different UNH-Manchester committees including: Academic Advisory Committee, Curriculum Committee, ITV Advisory Committee, School for Lifelong Learning Integration Committee, and a few others. There are also minutes and correspondence from Faculty groups, Administrative and Admissions Teams, and the System Academic Planning Council. This collection also contains papers relating to the Transition of Merrimack Valley College to UNH-Manchester as well as general information relating to the establishing of UNH-M and its opening ceremonies.
