About Alpha Chi Omega Sorority
The Alpha Chi Omega sorority began as the first women's group at the University of New Hampshire in 1913 and was called Pi Alpha Phi. It was a local organization until it became the Alpha Tau chapter of Alpha Chi Omega in 1924. When Pi Alpha Phi was established in 1913, the University was known as the New Hampshire College of Agriculture and the Mechanic Arts. The college became the University of New Hampshire in 1923.

This series contains files from the Greek Advisor's Office pertaining to the history and activities of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority at the University of New Hampshire. It also contains a scrapbook with a history of the sorority and photos of the charter members.
