About the Fraternities and Sororities Files

This series contains general information about the Greek System at the University of New Hampshire. Historical information relating to Greek life, judicial issues, and philanthropic events are included as well as a few photos of Greek houses and events. Newspaper clippings, spanning over 90 years, from local papers and the UNH student newspaper comprise a good portion of the series. Also, there are a few issues of various Greek newsletters. There are academic reports relating to GPA comparisons, annual reports, and alcohol/social policies. Greek Leadership Conference papers and manuals are contained in this series. Materials relating to pledging and hazing can be found in this collection as well as both fraternity and sorority rush booklets. Folders contain minutes and correspondence from various Greek groups including: Greek Council, Greek System Senate, Greek Development Committee, Greek Presidents Council, and the Fraternity Advisors Council. Panhellenic and Interfraterity Northeast Greek Leadership Association award packets are included as well as some papers relating to the Greek awards program
