About UNH
The University of New Hampshire, incorporated in 1866 by the state legislature as the New Hampshire College of Agriculture and the Mechanic Arts, was one of the early land-grant institutions of public higher education established under the Morrill Act of 1862. First situated in Hanover, NH in connection with Dartmouth College, the New Hampshire College relocated to its Durham campus in 1893 where it experienced rapid growth and expansion. In 1923 the state legislature granted it a new charter as the University of New Hampshire. The federal government required each land-grant institution to submit an annual report of its activities and finances.
About the Annual Reports to Bureau of Education
This series contains the annual reports that the New Hampshire College of Agriculture and the Mechanic Arts sent to the federal government. They include financial information as well as report on the changes in matriculation and the curriculum from year to year.
