Authors' Rights

Authors publishing in new formats enjoy the benefits of greater distribution of their work to a more diverse audience, but must take more care to understand and manage their copyrights and publication agreements.

The library can help you investigate your publishing options and provide information for managing your rights as an author.

Publication Agreement Review

We will review your new publication agreements for terms that affect the reuse of your work and advise you on the use of the SPARC Author’s Addendum.

We are available by appointment to consult on journal policies, open access publishing, author copyright, data management planning, data sharing options, and compliance with research funder requirements (NSF, NIH).
