The University of New Hampshire 100 Club, begun in 1947, is a charitable organization whose prime purpose is to raise money for student athletic scholarships. In 1982, the Hall of Fame wasformed by the 100 Club to honor those people who have supported UNH athletics either through their athletic careers or other work. This series contains videotapes of the University of New Hampshire academic ceremonies organized through the Public Programs and Events division of University Relations. Includes videotapes of the University of New Hampshire Honors Convocation Programs, which are held each year to recognize students who have received academic honors as well as those who have won various kinds scholarships, prizes and awards.

The inaugural celebration for UNH President Dr. Ann Weaver Hart held on November 21-22, 2002 included an academic convocation to celebrate the scholarly and creative work of its faculty. In 2004, the academic convocation became part of University Day events.

The College Library of the New Hamsphire College of Agriculture and the Mechanic Arts cooperated and combined its resources with the Durham Public Library for nearly a century. This series is comprised of the accession records of the College, and later, the University Library.

The Admissions Newsletter was distributed to faculty and staff to assit them in advising the students about UNH and the college admissions process.

The Agricutural Alumni Association organizes and sponsors the annual Homecoming Barbecue. This series contains the correspondence and records of the treasurer of the Agricultural Alumni Association.

The New Hampshire Agricultural Experiment Station was established at the New Hampshire College of Agriculture and the Mechanic Arts with the funds provided by the Hatch Act of 1887. Albion Reed Hodgdon (1909-1976) was a botany professor and head of the Botany Department at the University of New Hampshire from 1936-1974. He conducted extensive botanical research in New England and Maritime Canada and was responsible for the considerable expansion of the UNH Herbarium. The Hodgdon Papers (1930-2010) consist of correspondence, flora lists, and studies of areas across New Hampshire and the islands in the Gulf of Maine and Bay of Fundy.

The NH Royal Livestock Show has been an annual event within the animal sciences program since April 1950. This collection contains the many of the programs for the All Aggie Day held between 1955 and 1969.

Alpha Tau Alpha, a fraternity for men in the two year program, was formed in 1906 at the New Hampshire College of Agriculture and the Mechanic Arts (later known as the University of New Hampshire). These interviews were conducted in 1996 by Mylinda Woodward as part of ENG:732 Folklore and Folklife. This collection contains 41 interviews with women who attended UNH during WWII and graduated in the Class of 1945. Several interviews are on cassette tapes. The final report was written by Mylinda Woodward (UNH Class of 1997).

The UNH Alumni Association offers networking and social opportunities for both former and present students as well as provides a source of revenue and publicity for the University. These files are comprised of the Association's records.

The University of New Hampshire was founded in 1866 in Hanover, N.H. as the New Hampshire College of Agriculture and Mechanical Arts; it moved to Durham N.H. in 1893 and became a university in 1923. This collection is made up of small donations of all types from alumni/ae of of the New Hampshire College or Agriculture & Mechanical Arts and the University of New Hampshire.

In 1933 the Board of Directors of the Alumni Association established the Alumni Meritorious Service Award as a way of recongizing outstanding alumnae. A committee of alumni, appointed by the Association president, is charged with selecting the recipients of these awards. This series contains the files of the Alumni Meritorious Service Award.

The Dean of Student Affairs position was reclassified as Vice President for Student Affairs in July of 1991. This series contains annual reports submitted by the offices and programs that fall under the Dean and then Vice President for Student Affairs. Each report was submitted to either the Dean of Student Affairs or to the Associate Dean of Students unless otherwise noted.

In order to graduate with departmental honors, students majoring in Anthropology must come up with a senior year thesis. This collection contains those senior honor theses of the Anthropology Department since 2001.

From 1917 to 1944, UNH offered a degree in architecture through the College of Technology. This collection includes photographs of the course work submitted for the Architectural Design classes.

Arthur Stanton Adams was born on July 1, 1896 in Winchester, Massachusetts. He received degrees from Norwich University, The University of California and the Colorado School of Mines. He served as president of UNH from June of 1948 through 1950. The Papers of Arthur Stanton Adams cover the years 1948 to 1950. Materials include NH Legislature activity on Communist Activity Investigation, trustee meetings, and religion.

Arthur Borror is a professor emeritus of Zoology at the University of New Hampshire. He began teaching at UNH in 1961 and taught a variety of classes from introductory biology to advanced honors course in marine biology. This collection is made of notebooks containing field notes and class planning from Arthur Borror’s summers programs at the Shoals Marine Laboratory on Appledore Island.

The Browne Center is an experiential education campus operated by the University of New Hampshire, which offers team-centered programming to assist organizations and individuals in their quest for excellence. These files cover the establishment of the Browne Center and some of its programs and operations.

This series is composed of one box of folders containing notes on the Browne Center, the Rec Center, the New England Center, and the MUB. Included are also 7 high -8 video tapes of these buildings. These tapes were used in developing a video presentation.

The Cooperative Extension of the University of New Hampshire has an office in each county in New Hampshire. The Carroll County Forestry Division kept records about the Forestry Cooperators in that county. This series contains the records of the Carroll County Forestry department. They include the correspondence with inactive cooperators and records of woodland lots in Carroll County.

Cat Tales was a campus magazine which was created and published by UNH students. The magazine ran for two school years. This series contains six issues of Cat Tales.
