    Charles H. Pettee served the University of New Hampshire in various ways for 62 years. He was instrumental in the move of NHC from Hanover to Durham from 1890-1893. He was also acting president three times: 1891-93, 1912, and 1917. He continued to teach at the University of New Hampshire until 1928. This series contains the correspondence of Charles H. Pettee.     The sorority Chi Omega was first founded in 1895. The Blue Key, a senior men's honor society, sponsored an annual stunt night. The dormitories, fraternities and sororities competed for prizes by performing humorous skits.     Conrad F. Peterson graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1932. While at school he was a member of the Theta Chi fraternity and editor of the 1932 Granite Yearbook his junior year. This scrapbook was created by Conrad F. Peterson and contains mostly photographs. Many of the photos were used in the 1932 Granite Yearbook. The binding for the scrapbook was made by Conrad.

    Male track team members competed in cross country races as early as 1916, but it was not made a varsity sport until 1922. A women's cross country team was begun ca. 1980.
